Written by Richard Pratt, it is a compilation of mid century landcape theory and an unsurpassed idea book for the modern living ideal. Chapters and sections include: terraces, porches, and platforms, trellises, groundcovers and lawns, overall design planning and much more. Pratt was the founder of a an open-air landscape for the experimentation and presentation of outdoor building and garden ideas for the magazine "Ladies Home Journal", when it was under the direction of Bruce and Beatrice Gould. Over 100 photos and drawings in color and black and white. Book is very good clean and tight. No dj. Owners name neatly penned on fly.
