New York Herald Tribune, Home Institute of

Thick and thorough cookbook compiled by the Home Institute of the New York Herald Tribune. An heirloom quality vintage cookbook with sections on meal planning, cooking methods, canning, wines, cocktails, table settings and service, menus, meat cuts guide, and much more. Approx. 600 recipes. Black washable cover with yellow lettering.

This cookbook was printed between 1937 and 1949. The recipes, illustrations and cover are the same for all dates and editions. The minor differences between printings are as follows:
1937 and 1938 printing: illustrations and recipes identical to revised editions, only difference is that the introduction is by Emily Post.
1943-1945 printing: wartime introduction by Mrs. Meloney and an additional chapter "Wartime Supplement".

BOOK CONDITION DESCRIPTIONS:
A- Excellent Condition (Very nice, lightly used.)
B+ Very Good Condition (Nice condition, lightly used, may have a dog ear or owner’s name.) B Good Condition (Obviously used, may have a spot or two of soil, but overall nice.)
B- Good Minus Condition (Obviously used, with one or more of the following flaws including medium soil, small tears, weak hinges, creased pages or other medium flaws.)
C Cooking Copy Condition (VERY used with one or more obvious flaws: soil, writing, pasted in recipes, small tears, unprofessional repairs, etc...)
C- Poor Condition Cooking Copy (Every page soiled, binding weak, heavily used... not pretty).
